Dr. Yolanda Boliart
With 35 years of experience in the health sector, I combine science, sensitivity and a vocation for teaching. My integrative approach and humane treatment aim to make each patient feel accompanied and understood, both in terms of pain treatment and at every step of the therapeutic process.
35 years at the service of health
I am a doctor by vocation. I have a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona (Hospital Clínic de Barcelona) and specialise in Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation, Pain Management and Acupuncture.
I have been working in this complete, versatile and rewarding speciality for 35 years, mainly at the Dexeus University Hospital in Barcelona, associated with the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Given my great interest in teaching and good practice, I was a tutor for Anaesthesiology Residents, guiding their training to become excellent specialists, a task that I carried out with great enthusiasm.
My passion for my profession and for helping my patients led me to discover Traditional Chinese Medicine under the guidance of Professor Lee Kuy Moon. This millenary medicine, based on the TAO philosophy, bases health on the global balance of our organism in harmony with nature, and on the adaptation to the internal and external factors that surround us. Thus, in order to maintain good health and well-being, it is necessary to balance and harmonise energies, with an adequate diet and habits.
After many hours of study and dedication to many patients, my conclusion is that medicine must be integrative.
Thus, the best therapeutic approach for our patients today must include the benefits of Western and Eastern medical knowledge in order to maximise the success of treatments and minimise their side effects.
Balancing science and tradition for the well-being of the patient
I integrate scientific medicine with traditional Chinese medicine to offer a comprehensive, safe and personalised approach. This combination allows me to maximise the benefits of each therapy, minimise side effects and place the patient’s wellbeing at the centre of every medical decision.
